Americano Rovero, produced according to the original recipe preserved by the family, is Asti's aperitif par excellence, a piece of the city's history.

INGREDIENTS: Grignolino d'Asti DOC, sugar, alcohol, extracts of aromatic herbs and spices. PREPARATION The aromatic herbs and spices are carefully selected and expertly measured for extraction in alcohol. The main aromas include Artemisia, Cinchona, bitter orange peel, elderberry, coriander seeds, bay leaves, chamomile flowers, cinnamon, ginger root, angelica root, cloves, nutmeg, bitter orange peel, gentian root, nettle leaves, sweet orange peel, gentianella, vanilla pods, marjoram leaves, rhubarb root, iris, clary sage, red cinchona, lemon peel, elderflower, etc. The extracts obtained in this way and sugar are combined with Grignolino d'Asti.

HOW TO DRINK IT In its classic version, it should be served well chilled in a glass with ice cubes, topped up with a splash of soda water to release all its characteristic aromas and fragrances. It is perfected with squeezed orange zest. The Spritz Americano version uses a wine glass and the addition of a dry sparkling wine. In the summer version, the glass is filled with crushed ice to make it an excellent thirst-quencher. The natural bitterness of Americano is not lost even when it is very diluted. When mixed, Americano Rovero is extremely versatile in classic cocktails as a substitute for vermouth/Martini or in combination with spirits such as gin, vodka and mezcal.
