FRD-CODEM is a technical center dedicated to biobased materials : market study, fraction of biomass, formulation of materials, characterization, LCA ...
A Technology Resource Center dedicated to the development of eco‑materials and bio‑based materials for a wide range of sectors (construction, transport, sports and leisure, textiles, etc.), providing comprehensive support from initial concept to market launch (market studies, R&D on fractionation and materials, testing and analysis, industrial transfer, LCA, certifications, and technical assessments).
Material science engineer, I manage a team working on market studies, development of biobased insulation products, LCA, certifications, and I work closely with the team working on composites and plastics with vegetal fiber, fractions and milling of biomass, and development of concrete. I am also VP of Construire en Chanvre, association helping the development of hemp concrete.
FRD- CODEM supports you in completing your Environmental and Health Product Declaration (EHPD), from Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) to publication.
FRD-CODEM vous accompagne sur la réalisation de vos FDES (Fiche de Donnée Environnementale et Sanitaire)
COFRAC-accredited testing laboratory for construction products: thermal, hygroscopic, mechanical and durability analyses. Full-scale testing in a 2,000 m² technology hall supports validation, certification (ATEx) and performance monitoring.
FRD-CODEM supports you in the development of your eco-materials and bio-based materials using its analysis and testing laboratories and its 2,000 m² technology halls.
FRD-CODEM, part of the CSTB National Support Network, supports organisations in obtaining technical approvals (ATEx, ATec) by defining evidence, preparing documentation, and coordinating exchanges with CSTB for efficient validation.
Do you need life cycle analysis for your development, R&D and collaborative products (ADEME, Horizon, etc.) to study the environmental impact of your products and materials?
FRD-CODEM supports bio-based material development through resource, market and technology studies, and value chain structuring from upstream to industrial scale, including dedicated support for construction and sustainable material uptake.
FRD-CODEM supports collaborative R&D projects as partner or subcontractor, from biomass processing to material development, scale-up, eco-design, LCA and market studies, across sectors such as construction, transport and bio-based materials.
