CEDEX Centre for Public Building Studies and Experimentation

CEDEX is made up of eight specialised technical units called Centres and Laboratories, from which we provide high-level technical assistance, applied research and technological development in the context of civil engineering and the environment. This public institution offers comprehensive technical assistance and consultancy services to public and private institutions in areas such as civil engineering, environmental management, and water resource management. These services include preparing studies, technical reports, guidelines, and specifications, as well as contributing to the development of regulations and standards. International cooperation is another key aspect of CEDEX's work, with projects related to water, circular economy, building materials. These include the development of guidelines for wastewater treatment systems or Construction and Demolition Waste Circularity, support for regulatory reviews and training of personnel in developing countries. In addition, CEDEX has a series of unique infrastructures such as: a railway box, a seismic table, a test hall or a full-scale accelerated road surface test track, among others.
