Environmental biotechnologist currently responsible for managing both R&D project activities and technical-commercial project execution at METfilter SL.
We are METfilter S.L., a leading company specializing in providing advanced water filtration solutions for various industries using the power of biotechnology. Our innovative biofilters are designed to ensure the highest level of water purity, helping businesses meet their specific water quality requirements. With a strong focus on sustainability and efficiency, we aim to contribute to a greener future for all providing self-engineered decentralised solutions not only to clean but also to obtain irrigation water. For instance METland® technology, an eco-friendly solution that cleans up urban or industrial wastewater at zero-energy cost by utilizing electroactive microbes. This revolutionary technology transforms sewage treatment into landscaped areas, serving industries like petrochemical, food&beverage, textil, Pharma and urban wastewater management.
Environmental Scientist and Biotechnologist with a PhD in Water Science & Technology, specialized in industrial biotechnology and bioelectrochemical systems. Experienced in international R&D environments across academia, public administration and industry, including work in Spain, Austria, Germany, and Argentina. My work has focused on converting CO₂ into valuable compounds through microbial electrosynthesis, scaling up bioelectrochemical reactors, and developing sustainable solutions for wastewater treatment and circular bioeconomy applications. Currently, I work as R&D Project Manager at METFILTER, coordinating innovation and client projects around METland® technology, a nature-based, energy-free wastewater treatment solution powered by electroactive microorganisms. Passionate about sustainability, industrial biotechnology, and translating research into real-world impact.
