FashionTech Platform: AI Styling, Retail Return Mitigation, Circular Economy & Digital Product Passport (DPP) Infrastructure
About
Runway Ready is a deep-tech FashionTech startup based at the Madrid Science Park (FPCM). We have developed a proprietary "Wardrobe Operating System" (Wardrobe OS) powered by computer vision and custom generative AI layers designed to drive systemic circularity and hyper-personalization in the fashion value chain.
Our platform digitizes physical wardrobes in seconds, analyzing the user's existing collection to deliver daily smart outfit combinations and identify the exact "gaps" in their wardrobe to optimize future purchases.
Through this RIVCircular proposal, we are establishing an interregional consortium to validate and scale this digital infrastructure across two major structural nodes in the fashion ecosystem:
-
B2C Personalized Styling & B2B Return Mitigation: Maximizing consumer satisfaction through an intelligent, hyper-personalized styling app and real-time virtual try-on environments. By matching a user's digitized wardrobe data and unique style preferences against real-time retail feeds, our AI predicts exact size and aesthetic alignment, fulfilling true consumer needs while preventing speculative purchases and return waste.
-
Post-Consumer Circularity & Traceability (Pre-Loved Marketplace & DPP): Powering a peer-to-peer secondhand marketplace that lets users effortlessly monetize or trade items directly from their digital closets. This circular flow is supported by our deep-tech backend that automatically processes and structures garment metadata to seamlessly comply with upcoming European Digital Product Passport (DPP) regulations.
Target TRL & Objectives
-
Starting TRL: 6–7 (Core technology demonstrated and validated in an operational market environment, with active local market validation)
-
Target TRL: 8–9 (System complete, qualified, and fully deployed across an interregional scale)
-
Core Objective: Build an interregional pilot across at least 3 eligible EU regions to implement preventative B2B retail plugins that combat e-commerce return waste, optimize pre-loved garment lifecycles, and track automated cross-border Digital Product Passport (DPP) metadata metrics across the value chain.
What We Bring to the Consortium
-
Advanced Deep Tech Infrastructure: Production-ready computer vision pipelines, custom LoRA-tuned visual generation layers, and serverless architecture optimized for data enrichment.
-
Technical & Research Rigor: Our core team includes a PhD in Telematics Engineering (Cum Laude candidate) with 5 years of advanced machine learning, big data pipelines, and cloud orchestration experience.
-
Traceability Readiness: Built to automatically structure clothing metadata in alignment with upcoming EU Digital Product Passport (DPP) mandates.
Consortium Partners Needed
To fulfill the RIVCircular guidelines, we are actively looking for partners from other eligible EU regions (specifically France, Austria, Norway, Greece, or Slovakia):
-
Partner 1 (Textile Clusters / Retail Networks): To serve as the active market validation ground by integrating our return-mitigation algorithms and virtual try-on technology into active retail web stores.
-
Partner 2 (RTOs / Circular Economy Experts): Universities or research centers to establish scientific methodologies quantifying carbon footprint reductions and handling Digital Product Passports (DPP).
-
Partner 3 (Regional Craft / SME Associations): To facilitate the onboarding and validation of local micro-retail and pre-loved fashion networks
