Hardware repair and second life
About
The service targets any type of IT infrastructure that is part of a CPD (Servers, Storage, Firewalls, Network…) and which has reached the EOS or EOL stage of its lifecycle. The objective is to lengthen the life of IT infrastructure since 75% of the time EOS or EOL equipment does not need to be substituted, provided that adequate maintenance is carried out – including the substitution of some old parts for newer and better ones.
This avoids unnecessary costs in new infrastructure and in costly migration projects, which are often risky, complicated and require additional development.
Procedure
-
Detailed análisis of the IT infrastructure, including lifecycle and current status (HW and FW)
-
Identify equipment that cannot be maintained due to lack of spare parts and establish an action plan (best-effort maintenance, upgrades, substitution with refurbished pieces of equipment, etc.).
-
Define a preventive maintenance plan:
-
FW updates
-
Predictive analysis of errors and possible statistical failures of the IT infrastructure depending on its age.
-
Provision of parts according to the previous predictive analysis (proactive repair).
-
-
Provision of parts for reactive repair.
-
IT equipment monitoring.
