About

1. Objective

Implementation of a QR code scanning system that enables the efficient and secure registration of parts during production, ensuring that the information is genuine and minimizing cybersecurity risks.

2. QR code-relevant workflows

QR code generation:

·        At the start of the production process, unique QR codes are generated for each lot of parts. The codes contain information about the materials, the manufacturer, production date and technical specifications.

·        The system verifies that QR codes have not been tampered with or hacked during generation (which would yield QR codes with malicious content).

Production line scanning:

·        Production operators scan the QR codes as each phase of the manufacturing process is completed. This enables real-time registration of each part’s progress in the Production Management System (PMS).

·        Upon scanning, the integrity of the QR code is verified, assessing that it has not been altered during the manufacturing process and that, therefore, contains no malicious artifacts or links to fraudulent URLs.
