About

Construction projects are becoming more complex, and environmental requirements are growing stricter. Through the close collaboration between GREENBOX and LACON, we combine expertise in open-space planning with in-depth environmental knowledge. This enables us to offer landscape planning as an integral part of our overall planning—technically sound, compliant with regulatory requirements, and practical.

Ecology plays a central role, especially in an urban context: Cities must become more climate-resilient, biodiverse, and healthy. Issues such as heat reduction, water retention, habitat connectivity, and nature-based solutions are taking center stage. Thanks to our interdisciplinary approach, we are able not only to meet ecological requirements but also to actively translate them into high-quality urban spaces—from early analysis through action planning to construction implementation.

Our team develops ecological and spatial frameworks that ensure planning and permitting certainty. This includes the analysis and assessment of landscape areas, the development of landscape and green space plans, as well as accompanying landscape conservation plans. We integrate aspects of sustainability, climate adaptation, and spatial impact at an early stage and combine ecological expertise with a clear eye for feasibility and implementation.

Species and Nature Conservation – Responsibility for Biodiversity

In the field of species and nature conservation, we prepare robust species protection reports, preliminary Habitats Directive (FFH) assessments, and technical evaluations in accordance with Section 44 of the Federal Nature Conservation Act (BNatSchG). Based on thorough surveys, we develop action plans for protected species and habitats and prepare technical reports, for example, on the Water Framework Directive. Our work ensures legally sound decisions and supports the long-term conservation and promotion of ecological diversity.

Environmental Consulting – Bridging the Gap Between Law and Practice

As a technical liaison between planners, permitting authorities, and project developers, we review environmental documents, facilitate coordination, and develop viable compensation and mitigation strategies. We provide strategic support for projects and advise on environmental legal requirements to ensure that complex projects can be implemented in a manner that is both ecologically responsible and legally sound.

Environmental Construction Supervision & Pollution Control

During construction, we ensure compliance with environmental and nature conservation regulations. Our team monitors construction sites, documents the implementation of protective and compensatory measures, and provides advice on minimizing potential impacts. In addition, we conduct measurements and monitoring related to noise and vibration emissions and provide technical support throughout the permitting process.
