About

Way to Health is seeking strategic, construction, engineering and funding partners to establish a 25-bed inpatient rehabilitation centre for Ukrainian veterans and other people affected by the war.

The project will be implemented in Slobozhanske, Dnipro region, where our existing multidisciplinary rehabilitation centre already provides physical and psychological rehabilitation, Gaming Therapy and VR-based recovery programmes.

At present, we can primarily support patients who live nearby and can return home after their daily sessions. However, many veterans from other regions of Ukraine require comprehensive rehabilitation but cannot travel to the centre every day or arrange suitable accommodation for the duration of their recovery.

To address this need, an existing building has been identified and made available for conversion into an inpatient unit. Patients will be able to stay at the facility throughout their individually prescribed rehabilitation course, attend physical and psychological therapy, Gaming Therapy, VR-based rehabilitation and other necessary interventions, and then return to their rooms to rest and recover.

The planned facility will accommodate up to 25 patients and will be designed as an accessible and inclusive environment for people with reduced mobility and other vulnerable groups.

The project is already at the planning stage. We have prepared:

• an architectural floor plan and room layout;
• a proposed configuration of patient rooms and sanitary facilities;
• plans for demolition, new partitions, plumbing and interior adaptation;
• accessibility measures, including adapted sanitary facilities and support handrails;
• a detailed renovation and equipment budget;
• a list of furniture, administrative equipment and medical rehabilitation equipment.

The current estimated project budget is approximately UAH 5.93 million, equivalent to around EUR 120,300. This includes renovation and adaptation works, furniture, administrative equipment and medical rehabilitation equipment.

We are seeking partners who may contribute through:

• full or partial project financing;
• construction and renovation works;
• architectural and engineering expertise;
• building materials and accessible interior solutions;
• medical and rehabilitation equipment;
• technical supervision and project management;
• participation in an international implementation consortium.

Way to Health already has an operational medical team, practical rehabilitation experience and established cooperation with public healthcare and local support programmes. Following the launch of the inpatient unit, these mechanisms will contribute to the centre’s operational sustainability.

We are open to presenting the complete architectural plan, detailed budget and implementation model during an online meeting. Partners may support the entire project or finance a defined component, such as patient rooms, accessible sanitary facilities, rehabilitation equipment or a specific construction phase.

Our goal is to create a safe and dignified place where veterans from across Ukraine can complete a full course of rehabilitation without being limited by distance, mobility challenges or the absence of temporary accommodation.
