Partnership to Expand Veteran Rehabilitation and Reintegration in Ukraine

Way to Health is a Ukrainian charitable foundation working together with a multidisciplinary rehabilitation centre in the Dnipro region. We support veterans, military personnel, civilians affected by the war, people with disabilities and children who require long-term recovery.

Our approach combines physical rehabilitation, psychological support and social reintegration. Alongside conventional rehabilitation programmes, we are developing Gaming Therapy and VR-based methods that help patients improve attention, memory, coordination, fine motor skills, motivation and social interaction. Each rehabilitation plan is tailored to the individual needs of the patient and developed with the involvement of a multidisciplinary team.

The centre already has the medical expertise, facilities and practical experience required to deliver rehabilitation programmes. We are now looking for international organisations, charitable foundations, municipalities, healthcare institutions, technology companies and responsible businesses interested in helping us expand access to long-term rehabilitation.

Possible areas of cooperation include:

• funding rehabilitation programmes for veterans and war-affected civilians;
• supporting the development of our Veteran Recovery and Reintegration Hub;
• providing rehabilitation equipment and assistive technologies;
• developing Gaming Therapy and VR-based rehabilitation;
• exchanging professional expertise and rehabilitation practices;
• supporting research, staff training and international cooperation.

Way to Health provides transparent reporting on the use of partner support and the progress of funded programmes. Subject to patients’ informed consent and personal data protection requirements, we can also provide anonymised results, patient stories, photographs, videos and communication materials demonstrating the impact of the cooperation.

We are open to discussing pilot projects as well as long-term strategic partnerships. Our goal is to build a sustainable rehabilitation model that helps people regain independence, confidence and an active role in their families and communities.
