PEI Isolation Paper
About
Acme Filter's PEI melt-blown nonwoven (AF-3100) is a high-performance insulating material designed for electrical, electronic, and aerospace applications. It offers a unique combination of excellent dielectric properties, high temperature resistance, and lightweight processability, making it an advanced alternative to traditional glass fiber or paper-based insulation.
Key Features
-
Superior electrical insulation: Low dielectric constant (Dk 2.74 @ 10 GHz) and low dissipation factor (Df 0.002 @ 10 GHz).
-
Thermal stability: Continuous performance at elevated temperatures (softening point ~215 °C, melting ~265 °C).
-
Fire safety: UL94 VTM-0 rating at 0.05 mm thickness, verified by the National Chung-Shan Institute of Science and Technology (NCSIST, Taiwan); excellent arc and ignition resistance (HWI = PLC 0, HAI = PLC 0)..Lightweight & thin: Available in ultra-thin formats (down to 0.02 mm) with high strength.
-
Versatile processability: Can replace glass fiber in multilayer PCBs and adapt to cable, battery, and device insulation.
Applications
-
PCB / FPC insulation (alternative to glass fiber reinforcement in multilayer boards)
-
Cable & wiring insulation for power and electronics
-
Battery insulation layers (EV, energy storage).Electrical equipment protection in aerospace and industrial systems
