I’m Faisal, a lecturer and AI/NLP researcher from Nigeria. I’m curious about how technology can solve real problems, especially for communities and languages that are often overlooked in mainstream technology.
My main research interest is low-resource African language technology, particularly Hausa. I enjoy experimenting with AI, working with datasets, learning new research methods, and collaborating with people who bring different perspectives.
I love teaching and mentoring students and I enjoy sharing what I learn to others.
