Zuzana Sivakova

I am the Head of the Science Support Department at the Institute of Psychology of the Czech Academy of Sciences, where I focus on strategic planning, project management, and research support across national and international funding schemes. My work combines a strong emphasis on precision, efficiency, and transparency with a strategic approach to achieving institutional goals and maximizing research impact.

I have extensive experience in coordinating complex research projects, developing impact-oriented strategies, and ensuring robust financial planning and compliance with funding requirements. I actively contribute to the full project lifecycle—from proposal preparation and budgeting to reporting, audit readiness, and communication with funding bodies and project partners.

A key part of my role is fostering a culture of continuous improvement within my team and the wider institution. I value collaboration, clear communication, and well-structured workflows that enable researchers to focus on scientific excellence while maintaining high standards of administration and accountability.

In addition, I bring strong skills in event and stakeholder management, supporting knowledge exchange and building connections across institutions and disciplines. I am particularly interested in improving processes, enhancing research support services, and implementing practices that increase both efficiency and long-term sustainability of research activities.
