Senior Research Scientist at CNR-ISAC and PI of the ICOS station at Mt. Cimone. Interested in hosting MSCA fellows on greenhouse gases, atmospheric composition, wildfire impacts, source attribution and long-term atmospheric observations.

My organisation

The National Research Council (Cnr) is the largest public research institution in Italy, the only one under the Research Ministry performing multidisciplinary activities. Founded as legal person on 18 November 1923, Cnr’s mission is to perform research in its own Institutes, to promote innovation and competitiveness of the national industrial system, to promote the internationalization of the national research system, to provide technologies and solutions to emerging public and private needs, to advice Government and other public bodies, and to contribute to the qualification of human resources. In the Cnr's research world, the main resource is the available knowledge which means people, with their skills, commitment and ideas. This capital comprises more than 9.000 employees, of whom more than half are researchers and technologists. Some 4.000 young researchers are engaged in postgraduate studies and research training at Cnr within the organization’s top-priority areas of interest. A significant contribution also comes from research associates: researchers, from Universities or private firms, who take part in Cnr’s research activities.

About me

I am a Senior Research Scientist at CNR-ISAC (Italy) and Principal Investigator of the ICOS Atmosphere station at Mt. Cimone Observatory, one of Europe's leading high-altitude atmospheric monitoring stations. My research focuses on greenhouse gases, atmospheric composition, source attribution, and wildfire impacts on atmospheric chemistry and the carbon cycle.

I am interested in connecting with motivated researchers willing to develop competitive MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship proposals. The fellowship will be co-supervised by Dr. Paolo Cristofanelli and Dr. Nora Zannoni, combining expertise in greenhouse-gas observations, atmospheric composition, wildfire impacts, and volatile organic compounds.

Potential research topics include greenhouse gases, wildfire emissions, atmospheric transport, VOCs, source attribution, Earth observation, and innovative approaches for atmospheric composition studies. The fellow will benefit from access to unique long-term observations from Mt. Cimone Observatory and from collaborations within major international research infrastructures, including ICOS, ACTRIS and WMO-GAW.
