About me

I am a Professor of Literature and Environment, consortium lead for the UKRI Living Well with Water Doctoral Focal Awards, and co-director of the Centre for Water Cultures, a vibrant interdisciplinary community of postgraduate and early career researchers at the University of Hull. The Centre currently hosts twenty doctoral researchers working on water cultures from diverse global and transhistorical perspectives and will support a further twenty doctoral awards through Living Well with Water over the next four years. I have significant experience supervising doctoral and postdoctoral researchers and have supervised six doctoral projects to successful completion over the past four years.
