The Medicinal and Organic Chemistry (COM) research team possesses a range of expertise dedicated to projects at the Chemistry-Biology interface. It designs, synthesizes, and studies the structural properties of molecules that modulate innovative therapeutic targets, particularly those involved in pain and cancer. The molecular design process relies on molecular modeling studies of molecular interactions. The team also conducts research in natural product chemistry, focusing on resource selection, bio-guided fractionation, characterization, and biological evaluation of molecules.
Since 2007 – Professor of Organic & Medicinal Chemistry, SIGMA Clermont, France 2001–2007 – Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Organic & Medicinal Chemistry, University of Salford, UK 2000–2001 – Research Scientist, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmacia, Italy 1998–2000 – Postdoctoral Research Associate, Natural Products Chemistry, Arizona State University, USA
