My organisation
The Research Council of Finland (RCF) is Finland’s national governmental funding body for scientific research, operating under the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture. It supports high‑quality, responsible and high‑impact research across all scientific fields through open competition and independent peer review. Our vision: We fund bold research for Finland and the world. Our mission: We open up new avenues for excellent, responsible and high-impact research. The RCF plays a central role in strengthening Finland’s research excellence, promoting impactful science, and ensuring that society can make effective use of research results.
About me
I have served as a Science Adviser at the Research Council of Finland for 25 years. My responsibilities have focused on international collaboration, with a particular emphasis on partnerships with countries in Asia.
