EVROPAIKO ETHELONTIKO KAI EKPAIDEFTIKO KENTRO (EVEC Athens) is a non-profit organisation based in Athens, Greece, active as a non-academic partner within Horizon Europe and Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) frameworks. The organisation provides applied research environments, living labs and real-life pilot contexts in the fields of urban sustainability, climate adaptation, circular economy and sustainable food systems, including microgreens and urban farming. EVEC is involved in building local innovation ecosystems, connecting researchers with municipalities, civil society organisations and practice-based settings, and supporting the translation of research into societal, environmental and innovation impact. Within MSCA projects, EVEC can act as a non-academic host or secondment partner, offering intersectoral exposure, applied research settings, stakeholder engagement and support for research impact, dissemination and uptake. The organisation is particularly interested in participating in MSCA Doctoral Networks, Postdoctoral Fellowships and Staff Exchanges, where circular economy, sustainable food systems and mission-oriented research pathways are integral.
Project Coordinator at EVEC Athens, a Greek NGO operating an urban multi-system Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) micro-lab in central Athens. We run hydroponic, aquaponic and aeroponic systems for microgreens and herbs under controlled indoor conditions with sensor monitoring (pH, humidity, temperature, light).
We bring 20+ EU-funded projects experience (Erasmus+, ESC) in hands-on training delivery, multi-actor engagement, community demonstration, green entrepreneurship (seed-to-market methodology), and open-access resource development (microgreens.org.gr — 100+ articles).
Looking to join Horizon Europe Cluster 6 consortia as a Mediterranean urban CEA pilot site, training and knowledge transfer partner, multi-actor engagement lead, and dissemination partner. Especially strong fit for calls requiring end-user involvement, on-farm demonstrations, and the multi-actor approach.
