EVROPAIKO ETHELONTIKO KAI EKPAIDEFTIKO KENTRO (EVEC Athens) is a non-profit organisation based in Athens, Greece, active as a non-academic partner within Horizon Europe and Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) frameworks. The organisation provides applied research environments, living labs and real-life pilot contexts in the fields of urban sustainability, climate adaptation, circular economy and sustainable food systems, including microgreens and urban farming. EVEC is involved in building local innovation ecosystems, connecting researchers with municipalities, civil society organisations and practice-based settings, and supporting the translation of research into societal, environmental and innovation impact. Within MSCA projects, EVEC can act as a non-academic host or secondment partner, offering intersectoral exposure, applied research settings, stakeholder engagement and support for research impact, dissemination and uptake. The organisation is particularly interested in participating in MSCA Doctoral Networks, Postdoctoral Fellowships and Staff Exchanges, where circular economy, sustainable food systems and mission-oriented research pathways are integral.
