About me

I combine two roles that rarely sit together: research manager and active clinician-scientist.

As Leading Specialist of the Scientific Department at Bukovinian State Medical University, I coordinate the University's international research projects across the full lifecycle — from identifying calls and shaping proposals, through submission, to implementation, reporting and financial administration under Horizon Europe, Erasmus+ and national programmes. I advise research teams on eligibility, project design, budgeting and compliance with EU and national requirements, build and manage partnerships with European universities and consortia, and represent BSMU in international networks and consortium meetings. I also lead our institutional agenda on open science — FAIR data, open access and transparent research data management — and on the professionalisation and digitalisation of research support.

This management work is grounded in an academic career. I am a Professor of Paediatrics, Neonatology and Perinatal Medicine, Doctor of Medical Science (DSc), with clinical and research expertise in neonatology, paediatric anaesthesiology, neonatal ultrasound, family-centred developmental care, and paediatric palliative care. I have contributed to international multicentre clinical trials in neonatology (e.g. the NEU-STIM and NEU-VODE trials with partners in Ireland and the Netherlands, and AWAKEN 2.0 with a US partner), and I am experienced in medical statistics and clinical research methods. This lets me bridge research administration and scientific content, and communicate credibly with both coordinators and clinical partners.

My project-management competence is reinforced by dedicated European training: the CARDEA Academy research-management professionalisation programme, RItrainPlus for research-infrastructure management, a Jean Monnet course on EU research practice, and international internships in Poland on the preparation, application, management and reporting of international projects. I hold Erasmus+ KA171 mobility experience (University of Seville, 2026) and work in English (C1) and French (B2).

I am a member of ESPNIC, EPNS, ESPR, ICPCN and IPSS.

I am looking for: consortia seeking a Ukrainian partner and a reliable research-management contact under Horizon Europe (Missions, Health, Widening), Erasmus+ and EUREKA — in health, neonatal and paediatric research, mental health, palliative care, and research capacity building, etc.
