CTC Technology Centre is a private non-profit research and technology organisation whose purpose is to create value for industry through applied R&D. Recognised by the Spanish Ministry of Science as a Centre for Innovation and Technology (CIT no. 79), CTC acts as a technological partner for companies, connecting their needs with cutting-edge research in order to strengthen competitiveness, accelerate innovation and support a more sustainable industrial fabric. Its activity is structured into three business units. The Industry & Energy area develops solutions such as digital twins for predictive maintenance and process virtualisation, advanced coatings and characterisation for marine corrosion, and the design, analysis and monitoring of floating and fixed offshore structures and mooring systems. The Advanced Materials & Nanomaterials unit focuses on functional surface engineering, composite and nanocomposite materials, and circular-economy approaches that valorise waste through advanced processes, including nano-enabled materials for CO₂ capture and renewable fuels. The Navigation & Robotics unit specialises in artificial intelligence (computer vision and predictive analytics), autonomous robotic platforms for indoor and outdoor environments, and high-performance, low-cost geolocation systems based on GNSS, BLE and UWB. CTC also operates the Marine Corrosion Test Site “El Bocal” (MCTS “El Bocal”), a unique open-sea facility that allows industry and the scientific community to conduct long-term tests in real marine conditions. This combination of specialised expertise, experimental infrastructure and market-oriented R&D positions CTC as a strategic technology partner for companies in Spain and across Europe.
