Dr. Dipanjali Majumdar, is a principal Scientist at CSIR-National Environmental Engineering Research Institute, Dept. of Science and Technology, Govt. of India and is posted in Kolkata zonal Centre. She did her PhD in Chemistry from the University of Calcutta. She has 20 years of experience in environmental research. Her work is focused on urban air pollution assessment, management, and health risks of hazardous organic pollutants in cities and industries. Her work sheds light on volatile organic compounds’ pollution in the air of ambient and microenvironments in Indian conditions. She is a team member responsible for updating "India's National Implementation Plans (NIPs) under the Stockholm Convention on POPs." She has published over 35 papers in reputed SCI journals and many book chapters and supervised more than 17 Master's students. She served as a member of the Working Group for 'Ambient Air Quality of Cities in Chhattisgarh' under the State Task Force and is member of The Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World, Air waste management Association and Indian Science Congress Association.
