I am a Professor of Risk and Uncertainty and Head of the Centre for Intelligent Infrastructure at the University of Strathclyde. My research focuses on developing computational methods to assess risk, safety, and resilience under uncertainty, with applications in nuclear engineering, infrastructure, and climate adaptation. I lead interdisciplinary projects combining AI, causal inference, and simulation, including recent work on digital twins for drone network, assessment of complex and interconnected systems, and nuclear safety modelling. I collaborate closely with government, industry, and regulators to ensure that advanced modelling supports practical, equitable decision-making in complex, safety-critical systems.
