MSCA-PF: Joint application at the University of Valencia - I-PSI-TEC research group

As a former MSCA Postdoctoral Fellow, I know firsthand what it takes to build a competitive application, and more importantly, what makes MSCA supported research experience genuinely transformative. I am looking for someone who brings not just technical skill, but intellectual curiosity and the drive to work at the frontier of two fields (machine learning and psychology).

We are willing to support a candidate with demonstrated experience in machine learning, who is passionate about applying it to psychological science and able to work with a high degree of independence. Candidates with a PhD in computer science, data science, computational linguistics, or a PhD in psychology with a strong computational background are especially welcome. The project revolves around the development and validation of predictive models using language data applied to the psychological field. The project lies at the intersection of clinical psychology, personality (self and identity), and contemplative science. The project will (1) build on existing datasets already collected at our lab for validation purposes and (2) combine computational modelling with ecological momentary assessment methods, bridging the gap between data science and real-world clinical application, advancing personalized approaches to mental health assessment. We are also open to other proposals.

Eligibility criteria

The candidate must hold a PhD by the application closing date, have no more than 8 years of post-PhD research experience (career breaks and certain periods abroad are not counted), and not have resided or worked in Spain for more than 12 months in the 3 years prior to the deadline based on MSCA mobility rules apply.
