About

About

The Infection and Immunity Research Group (INIM) is a multidisciplinary translational research unit integrating clinical specialists from the Infectious Diseases, Preventive Medicine and Microbiology Departments at Hospital Universitari Joan XXIII (HJ23), laboratory personnel from Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV), and basic researchers from IRBCatSud. This structure provides an excellent scientific environment at the interface between clinical medicine, molecular microbiology, immunology and omics driven translational research. INIM’s activity focuses on the epidemiological, clinical and molecular determinants of infectious diseases, with priority research lines including HIV/AIDS immunopathogenesis, nosocomial and biofilm associated bacterial infections, and antimicrobial resistance (AMR).

Candidate profile

We seek a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher with a strong background in infectious diseases, microbiology, immunology or related fields, and demonstrable scientific achievements. Candidates with expertise in biofilm biology, host–pathogen interactions and microbial ecology are especially encouraged to apply.

The successful applicant will contribute to translational research aimed at understanding biofilm associated infections, identifying biofilm specific molecular pathways, and developing tools to improve diagnosis, antimicrobial stewardship and patient outcomes.

Candidate must comply with MSCA-PF eligibility rules.
