About

We are seeking highly motivated postdoctoral candidates to apply for the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships with our research group at the GREMAN Laboratory (UMR CNRS 7347), hosted by INSA Centre Val de Loire & University of Tours, France.

Our research explores advanced ultrasonic wave manipulation in structured materials, focusing on two complementary topics:

1) Extraordinary Acoustic Transmission (EAT).
We study how engineered acoustic structures and resonant effects enable efficient transmission and control of acoustic waves through subwavelength structures, beyond classical diffraction limits. This work combines analytical modelling, numerical simulations (FEM/COMSOL), and ultrasonic experiments, with applications in high-resolution acoustic imaging, sensing, and energy-efficient ultrasonic devices.

2) Acoustic Radiation Pressure (ARP).
We investigate how ultrasonic waves generate radiation forces that can be exploited to manipulate particles and materials without contact. By designing resonant acoustic structures and optimizing wave–matter interactions, we aim to enhance these forces for particle manipulation, concentration, and transport in complex media, with potential applications in acoustic tweezing, sensing, and microfluidics.

The MSCA fellow will develop an independent research project within these themes in a dynamic interdisciplinary environment. Researchers with a strong background in acoustics, wave physics, applied physics, mechanical engineering, or metamaterials are encouraged to contact us to discuss potential MSCA proposals.
