Neurodevelopmental Disorders: ASD and ADHD

I offer predoctoral and postdoctoral supervision in research focused on neurodevelopmental disorders, with particular expertise in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

My supervision supports innovative and rigorous research across cognitive, educational, clinical, and psychosocial domains, including:

• Executive functioning and self-regulation in children and adolescents with ASD and ADHD

• Social communication competence, pragmatic language, and social cognition

• Learning difficulties, with a focus on reading and writing development in neurodivergent learners

• Literacy acquisition and academic outcomes in children with ASD and ADHD

• Design and evaluation of psychosocial intervention programs for parents of children with ASD and ADHD

• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)–based interventions targeting sleep problems in adolescents with ASD and ADHD

• Development and assessment of technology-enhanced interventions, including the application of Augmented Reality (AR) to improve oral comprehension and reading skills in children with autism

I supervise quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods projects, including experimental and quasi-experimental designs, psychometric validation, and applied intervention studies. I particularly welcome interdisciplinary and translational research with clear implications for educational practice, clinical intervention, and family support.

Supervision is offered in an international research environment, with guidance on research design, ethical procedures, publication strategies, and career development for early-stage and postdoctoral researchers.
