Seeking Postdoctoral Fellow - Neuropsychopharmacology and Brain Diseases
About
Our group is dedicated to translational research, from bench to bedside, aiming to unravel the neurobiology underlying psychiatric disorders and contribute to improving patients’ lives. Current research interests include:
-
substance abuse, particularly psychostimulants, and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD);
-
the impact of adverse early-life events, including prenatal stress, on psychiatric disorders;
-
neuroinflammatory and neurovascular mechanisms underlying psychiatric pathology.
The research team integrates fundamental and clinical researchers within a unique interdisciplinary ecosystem linking academia, the Coimbra University Hospital and active societal engagement. This environment provides strong opportunities for translational, collaborative interdisciplinary research, fostering the development of innovative approaches to better understand brain diseases and improve patient outcomes.
