The MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships 2026 call (Reference: HORIZON-MSCA-2026-PF-01) under Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions supports excellent PhD holders of any nationality to enhance their research careers through advanced training, innovation, and international mobility.
These fellowships are designed for researchers seeking to gain new skills through international, interdisciplinary, and inter-sectoral research, including opportunities in both academic and non-academic sectors. The scheme also strongly supports researchers displaced by conflict, those aiming to reintegrate into Europe, and researchers restarting their careers.
Types of MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships:
• European Postdoctoral Fellowships
Open to researchers of any nationality wishing to move to Europe or within Europe.
Duration: 12–24 months
• Global Postdoctoral Fellowships
Open to European nationals or long-term residents.
Includes an outgoing phase (12–24 months) in a non-associated Third Country and a mandatory 12-month return phase in Europe.
Applications are submitted jointly by the researcher and a host institution (academic or non-academic). Fellowships can be hosted in EU Member States, Horizon Europe Associated Countries, or Third Countries, depending on the fellowship type.

• Results notification: February 2027
• Grant agreement: April 2027
• Project start: May 2027
