About

The GUIDE team has been involved in several research and innovation projects dedicated to emerging perovskite photovoltaics. UNIQUE focused on carbon-based perovskite solar cells, with particular attention to charge transport, interfaces, maturation and long-term stability. PROPER explored printable architectures based on porous inorganic metal-oxide layers, targeting low-cost and scalable fabrication processes. DESCOPE-NANO investigated the combination of perovskite absorbers with nanocrystals/quantum dots to improve device performance and durability. Together, these projects have strengthened the team’s expertise in carbon-based architectures, scalable processing, interface engineering, advanced characterization and stability/degradation mechanisms of perovskite solar cells.

Activity Offered by the reasearch team: Scientific project and PhD supervision; optimization and development of materials and processes; fabrication of small-area perovskite solar cells under ambient-air conditions; microstructural, morphological and physicochemical characterization of materials; photovoltaic device stability studies (85 °C/85% RH, illumination), including performance monitoring, post-mortem characterization, and elucidation of degradation mechanisms.

Involvement Proposed/Added-Value to Consortia: Evaluation and benchmarking of commercial devices to identify relevant criteria in terms of performance, stability and design; assessment of newly developed experimental devices; targeted studies of process–material–performance–stability relationships.
