MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships - Translational Clinical and Biomedical Research

The Coimbra Institute for Clinical and Biomedical Research (iCBR), based at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Coimbra, is seeking excellent postdoctoral researchers interested in developing competitive MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship proposals in the field of translational clinical and biomedical research.

iCBR offers a multidisciplinary research environment where fundamental, clinical and translational expertise converge to address major health challenges. Research at iCBR is organised across six strategic areas: Cardiovascular and Respiratory Diseases; Systemic Inflammatory and Metabolic Diseases; Neuropsychopharmacology and Brain Diseases; Vision Diseases; Environment, Genetics and Oncobiology; and Ageing and Quality of Life.

Candidates will have the opportunity to develop projects aligned with iCBR’s mission to bridge fundamental discoveries and clinical impact, including research on disease mechanisms, biomarkers, diagnostics, therapeutic strategies, precision medicine, advanced models, ageing-related conditions and patient-centred healthcare solutions.

iCBR is embedded in a unique research and innovation ecosystem at the University of Coimbra, with strong links to clinical practice through Coimbra University Hospital (ULS Coimbra)and Coimbra Oncology Hospital (IPO Coimbra).
