  • Metamaterials & photonic crystals

  • Classical and quantum electrodynamics

Project Description:

Lobet's research team seeking a highly motivated and talented postdoctoral candidate to develop a competitive Marie Sklodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship (MSCA PF) application. The successful candidate will propose a cutting-edge research project aligned with the overarching themes of twisted photonic crystals, superradiance or quantum batteries.

The research team has been active in the recent years on this hot topics, possess a theoretical (numerical & analytical) expertise in those research fields. The team has an agreement with INL : Institut des Nanotechnologies de Lyon , more particularly with the Ingénierie et conversion de lumière (i-Lum) - INL CNRS members for a secondment.

The PI has an extended network including Harvard University (M. Lobet is a Harvard associate), Stanford University, UPenn, DTU and many more. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a dynamic research environment, push the boundaries of photonics, and establish your independent research profile.

Candidate Profile:

  • Demonstrated expertise in theoretical photonics/quantum optics.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.

  • Ability to think critically, propose innovative research ideas, and work independently.

  • Enthusiasm for grant writing and developing a competitive fellowship application.

Eligibility Criteria for MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships:

  • All nationalities are eligible for European fellowships - for global fellowship, you must be European or a "long-term resident" of a member state or a country associated with Horizon Europe.
