Dietary measurement and diet quality

Iain Brownlee

Associate Professor of Nutrition at University of Northumbria at Newcastle

NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE, United Kingdom

About

I am interested in finding visiting Fellows with interests in improving how we measure dietary intake and/or process dietary data. I am involved in a range of on-going projects currently applying quality scoring approaches to consider the nutritional appropriateness/"idealness" of individual habit and institution food provision. Interest in research themes relating to monitoring dietary intake through smartphone image analysis and assessing recent dietary intake through faecal analysis would be particularly welcome at this time.
