Voice Reporting for front line care

About

What we do

Ordis is a voice system for social care. Care staff speak their progress notes, incident reports and handovers at the point of care, while the detail is still fresh, and Ordis turns what they say into the records the service already keeps. It's built for care rather than adapted from general-purpose tools, so it understands the language teams use every day, the names of the people they support, and staff who speak English as a second language. It works alongside your existing care management system, so there is nothing new for anyone to learn and nothing to type twice.

The problems we solve

Notes usually get written up at the end of a shift, from memory, hours after the care happened. Detail gets lost, records end up spread across paper, whiteboards and two or three different systems, and the same information gets entered more than once. That takes time away from people and makes it harder to keep records consistent, particularly across multiple sites or when agency staff are covering. Off-the-shelf voice tools tend not to help: they struggle with accents, local names and medication names, and they assume connectivity that care homes don't always have. In our early pilots, staff saved an average of 20 minutes a shift — time that goes back into care rather than paperwork.

Where we are with customers

Ordis is in daily use with care providers in Ireland and the UK. Our first pilot sites have become paying customers, and onboarding is quick — providers are usually live within days. We're integrated with VCare in Ireland, which makes the platform reachable by more than 150 care homes, with further care management software integrations underway. Feedback so far has focused on how naturally it fits into the working day. Ioana Constantin at Mullinahinch Nursing Home described it as creating a smoother, more intuitive workflow for nursing teams and returning valuable time to care. Our current deployments are in residential settings.
