Ionburst overcomes weaknesses in existing solutions via its patented “data out” protection.

By embedding, security, recovery resilience and sovereignty measures into every data object, Ionburst empowers data to become an agent in its own defence and repair, able to withstand advanced adversary attacks and to recover from ransomware, irrespective of where it travels or is stored, without ever duplicating data.

Entities realise the power of Ionburst’s science via an easy to use management interface designed to help them overcome key data risk and compliance challenges across their hybrid-Cloud infrastructure.

Entities align their business data compliance and security policies by combining Ionburst automated:

1.     Encryption policies for validatable security;

2.     Fragmentation policies for assured obfuscation and privacy;

3.     Storage locations and regions for assured sovereignty and recovery.

Ionburst’s innovation in symmetric key distribution applied to every data object further assures quantum-safe data in transit and at rest.

These innovations are containerised into powerful microservices that:

1.     Can be deployed across any trusted platform from on premises to Cloud

2.     Scale on demand;

3.     Are optimised to operate at near wire speed;

4.     Can be configured for multi-Cloud active failover.

GTM:

Go To Market is via Distributors and partners. 

Ionburst can leverage the salesforce and trust already built up by key partners in return for a % revenue.

Data protection is a horizontal market.  Any entity or agency that has sensitive data it needs to protect is a potential Ionburst customer.  Our initial vertical markets are:

·      Healthcare

·      Financial Services

·      National Security, including Police;

·      Public Sector;

·      Enterprise & SME

Status & Financials:

Ionburst is a multi-platform solution that a customer can deploy on their IT infrastructure or across one or more Cloud providers.

·      Base license is £300,000 p.a.   (20% maintenance) + consultancy

·      High Availability licenses flex depending on customer needs (e.g. hybrid-Cloud, Edge).

·      Active/passive or active/active instance failover for hybrid-Cloud require further licences, based on additional messaging, metadata synchronisation and DB configuration

·      For a Primary/Secondary site configuration, additional annual licence costs are as follows:

·      Active/Passive configuration – add £100k;

·      Active/Active configuration – add £200k.

·      Multi-tenant configurations can be configured and licensed by customer needs.

·      Ionburst’s bulk migration solution is included in initial licences up to 100GB, with consultancy for time spent extra

·      Data migrations over 100GB will be quoted for in addition.

Traction:

·      We entered market in 2022 as a SaaS and onboarded >370 developers, generating first revenue;

·      AWS sponsored a Global search to identify providers able to solve problems they couldn’t for their National Security customer.  They chose Ionburst as “1 of 1” globally;

·       Ionburst was sole data protection and interoperability solution across a 21 partner prestigious paid project for the Royal Navy protecting data from mobile phones and sensors, through Mission Edge servers, on premises IT and Cloud.  Partners included Maxar, Vodafone, Viasat.

·      Customer, partner and Security agency feedback caused us to pivot from SaaS to a multi-platform solution to deliver:

o   Customer control

o   S3 interoperability

o   Hybrid Multi Cloud capability

·      Too small to continue with SaaS whilst developing our multi-platform solution, we placed it in “sunset”.

·      This led to DoD and AKUS work which would have generates healthy MRR. 

·      Unfortunately the US budget shutdown in August 2023 meant we didn’t get paid.

·      Late 2023/4 IBM approached us and we’ve been working with them since.  We have great support.

Investment

·      Our solution is developed;

·      Key partnerships are in place;

·      AWS Advanced Technology Partner and IBM Silver Tier partner, Ionburst is listed on both marketplaces.

£2m seed investment is sought is to realise opportunities through existing partnerships to generate annual recurring revenue.

C 80% focused on revenue generation;

·      Early investor exit forecast from year 3;

·      IRR forecast >100%
