Are you a digital health innovator in one of the UNITE regions? The UNITE Open Call 2, offering €6 million in financial support for breakthrough solutions that will transform European healthcare, opens on 10 September 2026.

As healthcare systems across Europe face growing challenges posed by demographic shifts and aging populations, there is an urgent need to accelerate the transformation of the health sector through digital deep-tech innovation. This open call represents a major opportunity to be part of innovative solutions.

What is UNITE?

UNITE is a €20 million pan-European programme under the European Commission's Regional Innovation Valleys initiative, building a borderless digital health innovation ecosystem that brings together stakeholders from the private and public sectors, academia, and civil society across European regions to foster entrepreneurship, help local startups scale, and facilitate new interregional value chains in the digital health domain.

The UNITE programme is deeply rooted in the following UNITE regions: Central Macedonia (Greece), Lombardy (Italy), Extremadura (Spain), Aragon (Spain), Scotland (United Kingdom), Wales (United Kingdom), and Romania. To be considered for selection, applicants must be based in one of these regions or have a branch or subsidiary legally registered there. Please note that the Northern Netherlands region is not taking part in the second open call.
