Agrion

The Foundation for Research, Innovation and Technological Development of Piedmontese Agriculture (Agrion) was established in 2014 at the initiative of the Piedmont Region and Unioncamere Piemonte with the task of interpreting the needs of the various production supply chains and conducting research in their service.

In accordance with the provisions of Regional Law no. 8/2013 (subsequently supplemented by Regional Law no. 3/2015), the Foundation aims to strengthen the research and technological innovation system in the agricultural and agri-food sectors.

The Foundation’s research focuses on improving food quality, rural social life, and the environment. In particular, its innovation, research and technological development activities are centered on environmental sustainability and seek to promote and disseminate best practices in eco-sustainable agriculture
