Stendhapp is a women founded italian startup, leveraging technology and digital storytelling to promote cultural tourism. At present it is operating only in Italy.
The purpose of Stendhapp is to leverage digital to increase the awareness and the fruition of the cultural heritage, especially the lesser-known places and events. Our mobile app, dedicated to cultural tourists, is a user-friendly application that geolocates the user and shows the cultural heritage around him/her with a proximity logic. It currently shows over 74.000 hotspots and about 8.000 cultural events in Italy, belonging to 20 categories of tangible and intangible Beauty, including typical food and wines and cultural events. Communities can grow the coverage adding missing cultural spots to the map. The goal is to entice the visit, rather than replacing it with a digital fruition: this has a twofold positive impact, the benefits of a real cultural experience for the tourist and the increase of economic value for the cultural venues. We drive the development of cultural destinations through digital storytelling, targeted social media campaigns and in-app presence. We have developed a patent pending Ai based algoritm to generate custom cultural itineraries based of Stendhapp users' preferences.
