Smart City means SiWeGO Green Logistics – Sharing Space, Multiplying Benefits

SiWeGO is a smart mobility platform designed to optimize goods transportation by leveraging unused space in vehicles—whether driven by private citizens or professional haulers. By enabling real-time matching between those who need to ship and those who are already traveling the same route, SiWeGO eliminates unnecessary trips, reduces traffic congestion, and significantly lowers CO₂ emissions.

This project aims to support local governments—municipalities, provinces, regions, or national bodies—in achieving their climate, digitalization, and social inclusion goals. Through public co-funding, the institution enables the launch of SiWeGO in its territory, empowering residents and SMEs with access to a cost-effective and sustainable logistics solution.

The benefits for the territory include:

• Environmental impact reduction through fewer empty trips and lower emissions;

• Economic inclusion by allowing citizens (commuters, students, workers) to earn extra income from their daily movements;

The project can begin with a local pilot, supported by awareness campaigns, onboarding sessions for stakeholders, and KPI monitoring to measure social and environmental impact. The initiative is scalable and replicable across regions, creating a model of sustainable logistics that aligns with EU Green Deal goals and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13.
