Energy Communities and Photovoltaic Integration – Eurac Research

At Eurac Research, our group focuses on the design, implementation and operation of energy communities, with a strong emphasis on the integration of photovoltaic (PV) systems and energy storage. We combine technical expertise in distributed energy systems, digital monitoring tools, and regulatory frameworks to support the development of sustainable and citizen-driven energy models.

Our work bridges applied research and real-world deployment, addressing challenges such as system optimization, user engagement, governance models, and flexibility services at the local level.

We are looking to connect with partners for collaborative proposals aimed at advancing energy communities in Europe, particularly under Horizon Europe, Interreg and related funding programmes.
