Ankara University , School of Medicine, Department of Gastroenterology is one of Türkiye’s leading academic centers, providing advanced diagnostic and therapeutic services across the full spectrum of gastrointestinal and liver diseases. The clinic combines high-volume clinical care with strong research capacity, including prospective and retrospective cohorts in MASLD, viral hepatitis, autoimmune liver diseases, cholestatic disorders, portal hypertension, HCC, and transplantation-related hepatology.

The clinic conducts daily follow-up of more than 50 chronic liver disease patients and manages specialized cohorts such as primary biliary cholangitis, non-cirrhotic portal hypertension, autoimmune hepatitis, and PSC. With experienced faculty, a multidisciplinary structure, and active participation in international collaborations and EASL, AASLD, and UEG networks, the clinic has a robust infrastructure for implementing personalised medicine approaches, capacity building, and translational research.
