Advancing Personalized Medicine Through Integrative Research and Clinical Excellence
Research Manager at Universidade de Coimbra - Faculdade de Coimbra

About
The Faculty of Medicine of the University of Coimbra (FMUC), in partnership with the Coimbra Institute for Clinical and Biomedical Research (iCBR) and Unidade Local de Saúde de Coimbra (ULSC), offers a unique translational research ecosystem bridging cutting-edge science with direct clinical application.
Our integrated research infrastructure spans genomic and epigenetic tumor characterization, liquid biopsy technologies, and predictive modeling for disease progression and patient stratification. We specialize in identifying novel biomarkers for diagnosis and prognosis, developing therapeutic targets, and establishing primary tumor cell cultures with comprehensive cytogenomic profiling.
Through our direct connection to ULSC—a major healthcare provider serving a broad patient population—we ensure seamless translation of research findings into clinical practice. This partnership enables access to diverse patient cohorts, real-world clinical data, and validation of personalized medicine approaches across multiple oncological and chronic disease pathologies.
We are seeking collaborative partners for the European Partnership for Personalised Medicine Twinning Call 2026 to co-develop innovative diagnostic tools, therapeutic strategies, and digital health solutions that advance precision medicine from bench to bedside.
Key expertise: Tumor genomics • Circulating tumor DNA • Predictive modeling • Biomarker discovery • Digital health • Clinical validation • Patient stratification • Community engagement
