Doctor of Medicine, Cardiology specialist

MD, Chief Medical Officer at PARAL at PARAL

Liverpool, United Kingdom

About

I am a an MD, MRCP, and cardiology specialist based in the UK with 10 years of experience as a registered doctor, combining a strong foundation in clinical medicine with a growing focus on digital health and medical technology innovation. My background spans acute, interventional, and outpatient cardiology, giving me a comprehensive understanding of patient pathways and the challenges of modern cardiovascular care.

Alongside my clinical work, I serve as Chief Medical Officer at PARAL, a Copenhagen-based medtech company developing a wearable 12-lead ECG vest for remote cardiac monitoring and early arrhythmia detection. In this role, I lead the clinical and translational components of product development, collaborating with engineers, data scientists, and regulatory teams to ensure the device is both clinically effective and user-centred. I oversee validation studies, guide protocol design, and translate clinical feedback into functional product improvements.

My motivation to engage in medtech innovation arises from real-world experience in cardiology, where I have seen how gaps in early diagnosis, data sharing, and continuity of care can compromise patient outcomes. I believe technology, when applied responsibly, can help address these gaps by improving diagnostic precision, enabling continuous monitoring, and supporting better-informed decision-making for both clinicians and patients.

Through my work at PARAL, I have developed a strong understanding of digital biomarker development, clinical data governance, interoperability, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. My long-term goal is to contribute to the safe and meaningful integration of advanced digital technologies into cardiology practice, fostering innovation that enhances clinical workflows and expands access to high-quality care worldwide.
