Trained to Oppress: When AI Learns Power Too Well
- Ethical Storytelling
Can AI‑driven artworks escape the biases embedded in their training data, or does it inevitably reproduce racism, sexism, and colonial paradigms? This panel confronts how AI characters can perpetuate or challenge discrimination. Artists and curators will discuss whether AI functions as a colonial technology, how to identify encoded patriarchy and gender assumptions, and actionable strategies for ethical creation, from decolonial data practices that allow us to design frameworks that centre marginalised voices and narrative justice.
