About me

I am an associate professor of Economic Growth and Spatial Economics at the University of A Coruna, (Galicia, Spain). I also teach doctoral courses in data programming using R and spatial analysis with R at the University of Santiago de Compostela. I hold three bachelor's degrees in Economics, Sociology, and Political Science. I also earned a master's degree in Applied Economic Modeling (Madrid) and a PhD in Economics (A Coruna). I was a researcher at the Center for Economic Forecasting (CEPREDE, Madrid) and the Research Centre (Toronto) of the LINK Project (United Nations, NY), founded by Nobel Prize Lawrence R. Klein. I also conducted research stays in Rome, Bristol, Groningen, Quito, and Porto. Additionally, I was the manager of the consulting firm responsible for organising the 2009 elections to the Parliament of Galicia, a region of Spain.

My research lies at the frontier of Economics with other disciplines, including statistics, Geography, Psychology, and other social sciences. I study heterogeneity and contextual effects on citizens, firms, and territories, focusing on multilevel and spatial models, interactions, and common spatial or temporal trends. I have published in journals such as Spatial Economic Analysis, Economics of Innovation and New Technology, Papers in Regional Science, and Regional Studies.
