Waterways as Public and Creative Spaces
About
VibeLab specializes in activating urban waterways as dynamic spaces for cultural engagement, sustainability, and community empowerment. Through extensive research and targeted initiatives, VibeLab identifies innovative ways that European cities utilize and regulate waterways for cultural events and artistic expression. Central to this effort is the development of "cultural harbors"—dedicated mooring sites designed to overcome infrastructural and regulatory challenges while fostering creativity, public participation, and ecological improvement. By emphasizing waterways as inclusive and accessible public assets, VibeLab contributes directly to sustainable urban renewal. The approach aligns closely with the goals of the New European Bauhaus initiative, and VibeLab actively seeks partnerships to expand these culturally-oriented strategies throughout Europe.
