About

SITES in HORIZON‑NEB‑2025‑01‑REGEN‑04 our role

  1. Deploy our Building Advisory System (BAS) Living Lab in Banja Luka to pilot social‑housing interventions, aligning with the requirement to implement two innovative packages of measures in one new build and one refurbishment project eiturbanmobility.eu+15research-and-innovation.ec.europa.eu+15euresearch.ch+15youtube.com+2cordis.europa.eu+2new-european-bauhaus.europa.eu+2.

  2. Integrate smart energy systems—sensors, AI analytics, predictive maintenance, data-driven platforms—to improve construction/renovation efficiency and reduce energy consumption

  3. Implement environmentally sustainable practices in pilot packages, including modular off-site systems, carbon-storing materials, and nature-based façades to boost resilience and lower carbon footprint

  4. Co‑design with residents and stakeholders, ensuring homes are inclusive, well‑being focused, and aesthetically integrated into local context

  5. For the renovation package, lead efforts to minimise disruption and enhance accessibility, using proven living‑lab engagement and user-centric design.

  6. Generate EU‑level impact by measuring social, technical, and environmental outcomes, feeding results into the NEB hub (HORIZON‑MISS‑2024‑NEB‑01‑03) as required.

  7. Drive cross-border collaboration by linking ENPOWER and NEB initiatives: leveraging existing smart‑energy and energy‑poverty tools to fast-track living‑lab innovation.

  8. Position SITES as a key innovation and community engagement partner, supporting competitive proposal development and pilot operationalisation.
