Innovative, reversible construction approaches in real-life urban settings
About
We are developing the Kultūros ir Meno Inovacijų Centras (KMIC) – an adaptive, modular, and community-driven cultural innovation hub in Kaunas, Lithuania, that will serve as a demonstration site for building renovation through design for adaptability and disassembly.
Our project aligns with HORIZON-NEB-2025-01-BUSINESS-01, and we are seeking partners with technical expertise in circular construction, modular systems, LCA/LCC, and community co-design methodologies.
The KMIC hub will test innovative, reversible construction approaches in real-life urban settings and integrate cultural, educational, and green entrepreneurship activities.
We are looking for:
-
Technology/design partners with experience in modular, disassemblable architecture
-
LCA/LCC experts to quantify environmental and economic impact
-
Replication partners from EU/Associated countries for pilot implementation in a second country (we already have Latvia and Estonia)
What can we offer?
-
A physical demonstration site (historic building in central Kaunas)
-
Strong stakeholder access: cultural operators, creative sector, youth organizations
-
A clearly defined, scalable and socially inclusive project framework
Type of Collaboration Sought:
-
Consortium partners for HORIZON-NEB-2025-01-BUSINESS-01
-
Demonstration sites in another country (preferably urban context)
-
