Potential AIMEN´s constribution in R&D projects are based on:

• Development of sustainable and circular bio-based coatings/adhesives/binders, including testing and characterisation of materials processability and application potential.

• Manufacturing of next-generation biobased materials using recycled materials with eco-efficient manufacturing technologies.

• Fabrication of 3D printed laboratory samples for testing and characterisation.

• Customised (functionalised) vision techniques with IA for added value products detection.

• Laser spectroscopy characterisation and analysis using integrated systems based on LIBS, Raman and HSI detection for final product identification.

• Implementation of SSbD framework for assessing the safety and sustainability of biobased materials, products or processes.

• Assess the social sustainability performance of the bio-based solutions via S-LCA.

• Conceptual design and optimisation of Sludge Treatment Wetlands to obtain a biosolid as precursor for biofertiliser production from excess biomass.
