Memento mortis

Memento Mortis is a cultural organisation based in Crete, Greece, working at the intersection of contemporary performing arts, participatory practices and civic engagement. The organisation develops interdisciplinary artistic projects that combine performance, storytelling and audiovisual media with co-creation methodologies and public space interventions.

Its work focuses on practice-based artistic research and the use of art as a tool to foster civic engagement, democratic participation, critical thinking and media literacy. Through workshops, participatory performances and community-based activities, Memento Mortis engages diverse audiences and promotes inclusive cultural participation, addressing societal challenges such as disinformation and social exclusion.

The organisation has experience in European projects (Erasmus+), contributing to the design and implementation of educational and participatory activities, and is actively seeking collaboration within Horizon Europe Cluster 2, particularly in topics related to artistic intelligence, cultural participation and democratic resilience.
