CARDET is the leading non-profit R&D center in Cyprus, with 50+ staff and 500+ projects in 40+ countries. We combine strong expertise in education, training, digital innovation, civic engagement, inclusion, and social development with close links to government and policymaking. Our team supports citizenship education as part of lifelong learning through research, curriculum and training design, capacity building, stakeholder engagement, SSH integration, policy support, and wide-reaching dissemination. Relevant work includes MEDIAWISE on countering disinformation and empowering citizens; CivicChampions on civic space, human rights, and democratic values; ACTIVEYOUTH4Life on active citizenship and LifeComp competences; EMERGE on civic engagement and participation; SPARK on political participation among young people with intellectual and psychosocial disabilities; Youth-Well on democratic and resilient youth; and Digital4All on young migrants’ digital and civic inclusion. CARDET also contributed to the Lifelong Learning Strategy 2021–2027 for Cyprus and the national strategy for civic engagement and participatory democracy, strengthening our ability to connect citizenship education, lifelong learning, policy, and practice.
